Our team of specialist orthodontists have decades of industry experience working and are passionate about creating healthy, beautiful smiles.
Dr Charlotte Boardman
Lead Orthodontist
Dr Charlotte Boardman joined the team at Coastal Orthodontics in 2013 as an associate orthodontist before taking over as lead orthodontist in 2019. Charlotte has almost 20 years of experience in the dental industry practicing in the UK and Australia. She is a passionate orthodontist that loves seeing her patients’ smile and self-esteem transform thanks to orthodontic treatment. Dr Boardman grew up in the small seaside town of Lytham St Annes in North West England. After practicing as a specialist orthodontist in the UK, Dr Boardman made the move to Australia to start a new chapter in her career. Dr Boardman goes above and beyond for her patients and still gets excited about every day, every patient and every smile she can help at Coastal Orthodontics. Away from the practice Charlotte is very family orientated. She is a mother to two young girls and loves spending time with them in the beautiful local area.
Rose McLaughlin
Oral Health Therapist
Rose McLaughlin is your Oral Health Therapist at Coastal Orthodontics, holding a Bachelor of Oral Health from CQUniversity Rockhampton, which she completed in 2017. Rose began her career as a Dental Assistant in 2013 and has extensive experience in central Queensland before relocating to Burleigh in 2021.
Rose is passionate about orthodontics and prefers its fast-paced environment over general dentistry. She finds great satisfaction in seeing patients through their orthodontic journeys and witnessing their dreams come true.
Outside of work, Rose enjoys working on her tan at the beach, cooking with her husband Steve, and indulging in food and drink. She loves to travel and is the proud owner of a cat named Migaloo. Her spirit animal is a raccoon, and her star sign is Cancer.
Charli
Dental Assistant
Charli is the friendly new dental assistant at Coastal Orthodontics. Charli has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting at Kingscliff Tafe and has spent time working alongside a general dentist before joining our team. She loves getting to know each of her patients! Outside of the practice Charli loves hanging out with friends and family and taking her pup 'Ziggy' to the beach.
Daxia
Dental Assistant
Daxia joins our team with experience working as a dental hygiene assistant and dental receptionist. Growing up in the USA, Daxia has spent the last 5 years living in Hawaii and is now enjoying the beach here in Australia. Daxia enjoys learning new skills in the field of dentistry and seeing people's new smiles and boost in confidence. When she's not working, you will find her enjoying a book, and sometimes karaoke.
Heidi
Receptionist
Heidi rejoined the Coastal Orthodontics team in 2026 after a maternity leave break where she enjoyed spending time with her son and commenced studying a bachelor of primary education.
Benita
Treatment Coordinator
Benita recently joined the Coastal team as Treatment Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience in the dental industry including a Bachelor or Dental Surgery, and Master in Public Health. Benita is passionate about supporting overall health and wellbeing and enjoys seeing patients achieve a confident smile. Outside of work Benita spends time travelling and camping, watching Netflix and enjoying the relaxed coastal lifestyle.
Kelly Tandler
Hygienist
Kelly joined the Coastal Orthodontic team in 2008 as part of our hygiene team. Kelly has almost 30 years experience as a hygienist with 18 years in specialist practices. She loves helping patients achieve a long-lasting smile with long term retention techniques. Kelly is passionate about all things dentistry and is always looking for opportunities to learn new techniques to provide better outcomes for her patients. When she is not taxiing her 15 year old around the coast Kelly can be found at the beach. She also loves travelling in her campervan.
Jayde
Practice Manager
Before becoming one of our practice managers Jayde was a patient at Coastal Orthodontics as a teenager. Jayde joined the team in 2007 prior to finishing school. She loves meeting new people and watching patients' smile transformations boost their confidence. She also loves spending time with her husband and three children at the beach.
Kylie
Treatment Coordinator/ Dental Assistant
Kylie is a bubbly Californian that loves to bake! Before joining Coastal Ortho she worked as a hygiene assistant in San Clemente where she loved comforting patients and making sure they got the care they needed! In her free time Kylie is usually praying for rain so she can snuggle up on the lounge and watch movies all day.
Jackie
Dental Assistant
Jackie, currently pursuing a Cert III in Dental Assisting, brings a dynamic approach to Coastal Orthodontics. In the clinic, Jackie is particularly intrigued by extractions and surgeries and is keen on learning all aspects of dental care. What Jackie enjoys most about her work is witnessing the transformation of patients' smiles and the multifaceted nature of dental care. In her personal life, Jackie treasures quality time with her wife, teenage son, and two beloved cats. Her interests are wide-ranging, from gaming on her PS5 to enjoying tranquil rainforest walks. An avid lover of music and movies, Jackie also enjoys binging TV shows, delving into new culinary experiences, and savouring coffee.
Kristyl
Receptionist
Having worked in general dental for two years, Kristyl has recently joined the team at Coastal Orthodontics and is enjoying building connection with patients and being part of a supportive team. Outside of work, Kristyl is a mum to four boys and enjoys spending time with family near the ocean and hiking the hinterland. Kristyl is an animal lover, and dog foster mum.
Hayley
Receptionist
Hayley has over six years of experience in the dental industry and is excited to join the world of orthodontics with the Coastal team. Holding a Cert III in Dental Assisting, Hayley thoroughly enjoys working in dentistry and seeing patients' smile transformations. Outside of work, Hayley loves travelling, beach walks and enjoying a coffee.
Lily
Dental Assistant
Lily has 4 years' experience working in the dental industry for both general and orthodontic dental practices, covering both reception and dental assisting. Lily's clinical interests are orthodontics, patient education and digital imaging. She enjoys helping patients achieve their smile and feel comfortable while supporting the dental team. Outside of work Lily enjoys socialising with friends, and surfing. She loves staying active, being outdoors and connecting with others.
Dr Marina Moor
Orthodontist
Dr. Marina Moor is passionate about creating beautiful smiles and providing exceptional, personalized orthodontic care to her patients. For her, orthodontics is more than just about perfecting a smile – it’s about building confidence and making a lasting impact on her patients' lives.
Dr. Moor earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta, graduating with numerous clinical and academic awards. She then spent several years practicing as a general dentist in both Canada and Australia before pursuing her true passion in orthodontics. This led her to return to the University of Alberta, where she completed a Specialty Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, earning a Master of Science in Orthodontics with honours.

Kirsten Tippet
Oral Health Therapist
Kirsten has a spent many years working in the dental industry spanning dental assisting, practice management and, since 2008, has been practicing as an Oral Health Therapist. Holding a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy, Orthodontics Auxiliary qualification and Adult Scope restoration qualification - Kirsten is a wonderful addition to our Coastal Orthodontics team. Kirsten has a strong interest in preventative care and restoring smiles for function and confidence. Building relationships to benefit oral health, meeting people and making a difference is what brings Kirsten joy in her role as Oral Health Therapist. Outside of dentistry, you'll find Kirsten enjoying live music, walking, hiking and spending time with her close friends and family.
Mia
Receptionist
Mia completed a Cert III in Business Administration, Medical in 2021 before becoming Head Receptionist at Ascending Psychology. As our receptionist, she is passionate about creating relationships with patients, making them feel comfortable, and ensuring each visit is an enjoyable one. She loves going out for meals with family and friends, travelling, and camping with her partner.
Kyah
Dental Assistant
Kyah joins our team bringing 7 years experience working in general dental practice.
Born on the Gold Coast, Kyah grew up with three brothers.
Kyah enjoys the constant evolution of dentistry and opportunity to continue to learn. Working with patients to enhance function and improve self-esteem brings Kyah joy in her role as a dental assistant.
Outside of work, Kyah enjoys walks on the beach, catching up on true crime documentaries and travelling.
Bree
Dental Assistant
Bree joins our Coastal Orthodontics team with six years of dental experience. Bree loves knowing everything about dentistry and knowing how things work and why we do it, her ultimate goal is to study dentistry to become a dentist.
Bree loves working with people and putting a smile on patients' faces and learning as much as she can.
Outside of work, you will find Bree at the beach or hanging out with her friends & family and beloved cats.
Bree loves her coworkers and says working with them makes work amazing!
Tiegan
Receptionist
Teigan has worked in the dental industry for four years, in both general and orthodontic dental practices. Tiegan enjoys contributing to patients' confident smiles. Recently moving to the area, Teigan enjoys functional fitness and cross fit, as well as running.
